The company OSTROJ has developed and manufactured a conveyor system for Notino. The automated system will significantly increase the capacity of the distribution warehouse of Europe's leading e-commerce company specializing in beauty and health products in Romania. The implementation of the line, costing approximately CZK 40 million, took place between May and November 2025.
OSTROJ's solution combines manual and automatic processes into a single functional unit. The system consists of a combination of roller and belt conveyors, which are designed specifically for specific operational needs. "Thanks to simulation software, we were able to fine-tune material flows even before implementation, so the customer knew exactly what to expect from the new line," says Martin Čmiel, Director of Sales and Marketing at OSTROJ.
The conveyor system measures 72 meters in length and 38 meters in width. The line consists of 199 conveyors with a total length of 700 meters. The conveyor solution includes 23 manual packing stations, four connections to automatic packing machines, and a central sorter with a capacity of up to 6,000 packages per hour.
In 2026, the line will be expanded to include automatic packaging machines. The project also includes a consignment warehouse for spare parts directly at the customer's premises and 24/7 service availability. "In the event of a line stoppage, our people are able to start identifying the problem online within one hour, 24/7, which is an absolutely essential requirement for the e-commerce segment," adds Adam Majewski, Sales Manager, OSTROJ.
After successful completion of trial operation, the line was officially handed over for use on December 11, 2025, and successfully handled the rush of pre-Christmas shopping.
