PLOW SYSTEMS
Base plate plow systems produced by OSTROJ for over 30 years are intend for coal mining in flat and inclined seams with coal hardness up to 40MPa, till the inclination 40° and the heights of seams from 0.6m to 1.8m.
The plow system is guided on face conveyor with an atypical pan line using a chain located on the face or the goaf side. According to specific geological conditions, the face conveyor can be with a closed or open bottom strand.

While a work principle has not been changed, the installed drive output, thickness of a plow chain and plow speed available have been continuously increasing for years. Various types of plow systems, having been used with a greater or less success, have existed besides each other for decades. After 1991, due to mine closures and consequent merger of various mine contractors, two types of plow systems have been left - the first with plow guide and plow chain on the face side - sliding plow and the second with plow guide and plow chain on the goaf side - base plate plow.

In dependence of seam thickness and mining conditions, plow systems are operated with:
- powered roof supports or
- with individual hydraulic props
